Matthew joined the WORKSHOP8 team in June of this year as an architectural designer. He is a proud Colorado native and recently graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a degree in environmental design and an emphasis in architecture. While he celebrates his undergraduate degree, he is making plans to continue his education and ultimately obtain his architectural license in the state of Colorado.
Matthew has a big family that consists of his three brothers – Andrew, Jonathan, Josiah- and his older sister, Stephanie. His sister studied sociology and business studies at CU Denver, and this year his mother graduated with a degree in art education from the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design. Matthew is just as proud of their accomplishments as they are of him pursuing a career in architecture.
In 2013, Matthew joined the U.S Marine Corps Reserves and is currently stationed out of Buckley Air Force in Aurora, Colorado. His older brother, Andrew, serves in the U.S Army and is stationed in Texas. Matthews is very proud and dedicated to be in the service with many of his friends today.
In his spare time Matthew likes to travel near and far. As a sports fan, he enjoys attending sporting events (Go Broncos!). When he is not working, he aims to stay active outdoors.
The group headed up to the 2018 AIA conference in Keystone last weekend. Pajamas, cool socks, and a roaring game of Cards Against Humanity was in order because, what other way to get to know your coworkers? Our cheeks are still sore from laughing. Stay tuned to hear our highlights from the trip.
