Based on the True Story
United Flight 232
As a proud sponsor of The Catamounts, an award-winning Boulder-based theatre company, WORKSHOP8 highly encourages everyone to go see the regional premiere of United Flight 232, showing now through March 9th at The Diary Arts Center. Adapted by Vanessa Stalling from the book Flight 232 by Laurence Gonzales, The play, United Flight 232, recounts the true story of a Denver-to-Chicago plane crash in 1989 that tragically killed 111 of the 296 souls.
Told simply with chairs, movement, and a cast of 9 actors who play multiple roles, this visceral piece focuses on the lives lost and examines how ordinary people take care of one another in extraordinary times, many of whom were our local Coloradans.
