18 SEP 19 | 2019 Boulder Green Home Tour

CGBG 2019 BGHT

Too early for acronyms on this Wednesday morning? Okay, let me break this one down for you because if you like peek around other people’s homes then this is a local Boulder event you don’t want to miss. Happening 10am – 4pm next Saturday, September 28th the Colorado Green Building Guild is hosting their yearly Boulder Green Home Tour!

The self-guided tour allows you to walk through several green homes in Boulder and the surrounding areas. Attendees will see both modern and traditional custom homes, remodels and multi-family projects. They are expecting 200-500 attendees, who are design-minded and eager for information on the latest and greatest in energy efficiency, green building, and solar design. Last I heard, two of these handsome homes are for sale so buyers, you may just find the home of your dreams!

Stop #4 : WORKSHOP8’S LATEST HOME ADDITION

WORKSHOP8’s 450 Lipan project has the pleasure of being featured as stop #4 in this years tour. Back in 2012, WORKSHOP8 renovated the main house of this 1960s home, but for the tour this year we will be primarily highlighting the home’s most recent 500 SF addition and its utilization of SIPs (Structurally Insulated Panels). Ivan Patino and a representative from Big Sky R-Control SIPS will be on-site, sharing their design story and answering any questions that visitors may have about utilizing SIPS.

VOLUNTEER, SPONSOR, OR PURCHASE TICKETS

The day will culminate in a celebratory after-party that is open to all tour participants, volunteers, and sponsors. If you would like to get involved, CGBG is still recruiting volunteers.
