Sweet Engine

WORKSHOP8 presented the concept “Sweet Engine” as part of our mural application for the 2020 Denver Urban Arts Fund.

The design pays homage to the Engine & Performance Warehouse operating inside the building located in Denver’s Sun Valley neighborhood, and the community-focused urban market being constructed adjacent to it, in Gateway South. This 900 square foot concept (20 ft. high and 30 ft. wide) includes an assembled engine block, honey-bee’s made from “winged bolts,” and honeycomb. Being the first mural for the neighborhood, we want to include large “SUN VALLEY” text to create place-making for the community; passerby’s on the sidewalk will be greeted with its grandiose welcoming.
