OLIN Apartments

Revitalizing the Olin : 5th Floor Unlocked

Located on 14th and Logan in Denver, The Olin Hotel, a 1925 Spanish Mission masterpiece, found new purpose in 1980 as senior apartments. Our renovation honors its rich history while revitalizing the existing 112 units. Restoring access to the fire-damaged 5th floor unlocked the potential for six additional senior apartments, ensuring The Olin's legacy continues to provide a vibrant home for years to come.

Interiors were updated to include modern, yet affordable fixtures and finishes that nod to Olin’s past and Spanish Mission design. All unit interiors, bathrooms, and kitchens were revised, and windows were replaced. A stair and lift were added for access to the 5th floor. Adding a gym and lounge space with a fireplace, the game room, dining hall, and dance floor were all updated. Incorporating security upgrades and common areas that look out to the street created a better connection between residents and the neighborhood, fostering a safer streetscape.

WORKSHOP8 provided architecture, interior design, environmental graphic design, and contract administration in-house. Subconsultants included: civil, landscape, MEP, energy and structural engineering.
