Our Stories.
From June 9th to July 7th, WORKSHOP8 stayed on its creative grind with a healthy dose of summer energy. We marked Pride Month with an ode to Eileen Gray and enjoyed time off for Juneteenth and 4th of July. We posted updates on Jacoby Meadows and StarRise, waited on permit comments for our NINER project in Longmont, and kicked off a new rehab project in Snowmass Village.
In between, we recognized Elena’s one-year workaversary, surprised the team (and our office pups) with treats, and posted another wild 8—this time from the Clocktower.
Follow us on Instagram and Facebook to catch it all.
New Project.
Villas North Apartments Rehab | Snowmass Village
We’re excited to announce our latest collaboration with Rudd Construction on a design-build rehabilitation project in Snowmass Village! This mountain housing community is getting a fresh new look — including updated exterior materials and reimagined stairs — while maintaining the charm of its alpine setting. With Marcel and Maria leading the charge on design and construction drawings, we’re ready to breathe new life into this property and keep it rooted in place. Stay tuned for progress updates from the peaks!

Work.
StarRise | Greeley : Shining bright!
During Joseph’s May 8 and May 22 site visits, he caught StarRise coming to life—from star-shaped acoustic lights and geometric tile to bold wayfinding paint and even an accidental “8” hiding in a window shadow. With natural light pouring in, railings going up, and kitchens and bathrooms nearly move-in ready, this Permanent Supportive Housing project is well on its way to welcoming residents. And that historic façade? Still stealing the show. Designed by WORKSHOP8 for High Plains Housing and built by KCI Construction, this adaptive reuse project is all about blending old bones with new life in Greeley.

Jacoby Meadows | Windsor : Progress from All Angles
Flying high over Windsor on April 28, Marcel captured stunning drone shots of Jacoby Meadows, our senior affordable housing project in collaboration with Pinkard Construction. A few weeks later, on June 2, Elena documented the action on the ground—siding being painted, curb and gutter poured, cabinets staged, and floors going in. Big thanks to the whole team moving this vision forward!

NINER | Longmont : In for Permit!
NINER — our four-story multifamily mixed-use building in Longmont — has 44 residential units above a ground-floor commercial space. This project blends context-sensitive design and smart urban infill. Type V-A construction, NFPA 13, and a crisp material palette that combines metal, stucco, and red brick — all working together to create a modern yet rooted presence. This is our second project for Gabler Homes LLC and supported by our stellar engineering team: Given & Associates & Integral, Inc. Let’s go, NINER!

Holidays.
Stars, Stripes & Solidarity
From honoring freedom and resilience on Juneteenth to celebrating joy and independence on the 4th of July, we hope your summer has been full of reflection, connection, and maybe a little mischief. With all eight arms raised in celebration. Love Toby (the W8 mascot).

Spotlight.
Pride Month : Eileen Gray
From lacquered screens to seaside villas, Eileen Gray blazed her own trail through the male-dominated world of modern design — unapologetically queer, relentlessly independent, and endlessly inventive. This Pride Month, we honored the legacy of a true original: Artist, Designer, Rebel, Toast-in-bed innovator. Here’s to all the rule breakers, fringe dwellers, and furniture-loving visionaries who make space for bold, beautiful living — on their own terms.

The Team.
Happy 1-Year Workaversary to Elena Robles!
June 10th marked Elena’s 1 year workaversary. In just 12 months, Elena has brought care and curiosity to every project she touches — especially our Walsh rehabilitation project. Outside the studio, she’s a devoted mom (to a spirited toddler and a very senior pup). Inside the studio, she’s a thoughtful teammate and a constant learner. We’re lucky to have her on the W8 crew. Here’s to year two!

Just For Fun.
Team Toby Treats!!!
The fabulous Willow O’Dwyer was slinging homemade sweets outside Logan’s Espresso Café—so naturally, Brandy had to snag some for the WORKSHOP8 crew. Mini cherry pie? Yes. Lemon blueberry tart? Obviously. A bake sale this cute? Irresistible. And, homemade dog cookies for the WORKSHOP8 pups. (Because good dogs deserve great snacks too.)

Wild 8s.
Spotted at the Clocktower.
Supporting live arts at the Clocktower Cabaret in Denver, where the martinis are dirty and the table numbers are wild. Brandy spotted a very glamorous Table 8 while cheering on the dazzling Bella Fire.

Thanks for Reading.
