PROJECT DATES

May 2017 to September 2021

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The award winning, Gateway South is a key part of the Sun Valley redevelopment, featuring 92 units (1 BR and 2 BR flats) and the DECATUR FRESH food market. Its architectural design pays homage to the neighborhood's history, integrating materials that create continuity and identity. The use of diverse materials breaks up the six-story structures, providing a more human-scale experience. Notably, Gateway South incorporates lit-art by Brandy LeMae and fabricated by 3FORM, adding vibrancy and cultural richness to the community. Overall, it represents a thoughtful blend of historical context, architectural innovation, and artistic expression in urban renewal.
