Lukas Leon Shimizu-Blume

Lukas is an Architectural Designer at WORKSHOP8 and primarily works on the Jacoby Meadows project, for which he leads drawing production and sustainability efforts. He was born in Tokyo, Japan, and moved to the United States at a young age. He is a recent graduate of CU's Environmental Design program, where he studied architecture and graduated with high distinction. While there, his projects specialized in sustainable design, with one of his studio projects earning the distinction of runner-up in the Colorado Green Building Guild's Student Project of the Year Award. He also worked as a Teaching Assistant and studied abroad in Venice, Italy.
