It means making deliberate choices about durability and impact, and leaning into practicality.

At Gateway North for Denver Housing Authority, a layered palette of cementitious siding, stucco, brick, and exposed concrete was used to create a durable building that contributes to the street and holds up over time.

The project budget sets the limits; thoughtful design makes the most of them.

Jacoby Meadows | Windsor, CO Jacoby Meadows is a Jacoby Meadows | Windsor, CO

Jacoby Meadows is a new 62-unit senior affordable housing community in Windsor, Colorado, created in partnership with the Loveland Housing Authority and the Windsor Housing Authority. At 63,000 square feet and a total project cost of $18 million, the project was funded through 9% LIHTC and constructed under the 2020 Enterprise Green Communities sustainability standards.

Designed to support safe, comfortable, and independent living, the building meets accessibility requirements including ADA, UFAS, Fair Housing, and ICC A117.1 (2017). Every decision—from planning to interiors—was made with long-term livability and dignity in mind.

WORKSHOP8 provided architectural design, branding, and interior design services.

Overlook Apartments This family site rehabilitati Overlook Apartments

This family site rehabilitation for Maiker Housing Partners included the interior and exterior rehabilitation of nine multifamily residential buildings, each with its own identifying color and icon, along with the design of a new 5,700 SF clubhouse and pool.

The site work extended beyond buildings to include new play areas, shaded seating, and BBQ spaces — reinforcing the project as a neighborhood, not just housing.
