We just keep growing! Last week I blogged about our new student intern, Adam Meis, now I want to tell you about Kate.
After our beloved interior design partner, Ulla Lange, moved back to her home country of Finland in the Spring, we had a hole in our interiors department. That is why I’m super excited to announce that Kate Van Sluyter has joined WORKSHOP8 as our interior design department lead! We threw her right into a project with a crazy, fast turn time and she hasn’t pulled her hair out yet.
Kate is an artist, designer, and self professed-prankster. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from CU Boulder, and worked in the ceramics field for two years. Below is an example of some of Kate’s ceramic work.
Later transitioning into interior design, Kate furthered her studies at the Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design with an emphasis in green design, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She is a member of both the International Interior Design Association and the Colorado Green Building Guild. I’m not sure where she studied pranking, but am bound to fall for one sometime soon.
Kate’s experience includes kitchen and bath design and furniture and finish selection. She has a passion for space planning and new and exciting color palettes. Check out some of Kate’s awesome portfolio below. The images are from a conceptual remodel for the Millennium Harvest House Hotel. We can’t wait to see what she’ll do for our clients. Please email her directly if you have any interior design needs.
