PROJECT DESCRIPTION
WORKSHOP8 assisted CBRE and SoundHound, a California-based tech company, in finding and designing a space that would become their new permanent Boulder office. After visiting 3 different sites and exercising different test-fit options, SoundHound selected a 6,452 SF office space on the Pearl Street Mall.
The new space was renovated to remove private offices along the exterior walls to provide plenty of natural light for the open office environment. WORKSHOP8 incorporated new conference rooms, video chat rooms, open collaboration spaces, hanging bike racks, a kitchen, and a break area complete with a pool table – a SoundHound favorite. To mitigate office noise, movable felt panels divide the break area from the main work area.
WORKSHOP8 assisted SoundHound in selecting finishes, furniture, artwork, and plants that would complement their branding and the Colorado aesthetic they were going for. SoundHound’s logo, corporate colors, and standard systems furniture were implemented into the design so that their brand remained consistent throughout their offices all around the world.
