PROJECT DATES

December 2016 to  February 2021

DESCRIPTION

The Connections at 6th Ave is a 100% affordable multi-family apartment rehabilitation in Aurora, CO and is owned by the Aurora Housing Authority. The project is currently in its Construction Administration with a sequenced construction schedule in place to accommodate the residents living onsite. The project is designed to meet ADA, EGC, UFAS and Section 504, and Fair Housing Standards.

Bright colors incorporated into the interiors of the two resident buildings create way finding and a sense of place. Acoustical artwork adorns the walls of each building entry to dampen sound and provide visual interest. The bright colors of the resident buildings are reflected in the new playground, encouraging outdoor and imaginative play. The Leasing Office is outfitted with brand new office furniture and durable, functional meeting and waiting area furniture.

SCOPE OF WORK

Scope includes exterior upgrades, site lighting, parking lot upgrades, new trash enclosures, modifying site elements for safety, designing a foyer and new exterior entry portico, modifying unit layouts for ADA compliance, reprogramming the existing clubhouse, a new project brand with logo, interior and monument signage design, updated interior fixtures, and a new playground.
