Work on the South Lowell Apartments Rehab and Redevelopment is coming to a close and I thought I’d share some construction photos with you. This has been a rewarding project for me because I was able to help transform an eye-sore of a building into a more functional, energy-efficient project with character and curb-appeal.
It was a real pleasure to work with the Denver Housing Authority and Pinkard Construction. Our integrated design approach helped us create a “building within a building” which allowed us to build the site out to maximum density while screening the new four-story structure behind the existing two story building. This approach had many valuable outcomes including fitting in with the scale of the neighborhood and saving the owner $5M.
The work will be completed soon and we’ll surely be sharing photographs as soon as we get them.
