WORKSHOP8 News: Wrapping Up 2024! 🎉
As the year winds down, we’re excited to share highlights of what we’ve been up to—projects, team updates, a bit of history, and a fun way for YOU to get involved!
WORK
Our projects keep us busy (and inspired!). Here’s what’s happening:
- Orchard Hill Clubhouse Rehab: Completed in July, Chelsea brought warmth and comfort to this Maiker HousingPartners property. A big shoutout to Deneuve Construction for their work on this interior refresh!
- StarRise in Greeley: Under construction! This High Plains Housing development includes a 4-story building and an adaptive reuse community space. Kudos to KCI Construction for keeping the project moving so quickly.
- Overlook at Thornton: Nine buildings are under rehab, and a brand-new clubhouse with a pool, gym, and community room is underway. Hats off to Palace Construction for their excellent work!
- Jacoby Meadows in Windsor: Groundbreaking is done, and Pinkard Construction is leading the charge on this Loveland Housing Authority development for the Windsor Housing Authority.
DESIGN
From boho modern interiors to master planning, here’s a peek at our creative side:
- Boho-modern vibes at Overlook’s clubhouse.
- Master phasing plans for High Plains Housing’s 6-acre Greeley property.
- A Jacoby Meadows rendering featuring modern farmhouse charm.
- Environmental graphics for Walsh Annex Rehab: a retro-cool makeover for a 1970s high-rise in Denver owned by the Denver Housing Authority.
TEAM NEWS

- 🎉 Chelsea Semelka Rietz and Marcel van Garderen celebrated 10 years with WORKSHOP8!
- Welcome Elena Robles and Maria Fredette, our new Architectural Designers.
LOOK BACK
Throwback moments we’re proud of:
- 2012: Joseph Vigil, AIA Colorado North’s Architect of the Year.
- 2015: “Let it Fly” mural brought life to Boulder’s 55th Street underpass.
- 2016: Stanley Marketplace opened—still going strong 8 years later!
ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Proud supporter of Month of Modern 2024.
- Planning Excellence Award for “At Home in Greeley.” Development Strategies was the prime consultant on the project.
